Major attractions of Hyderabad
Synonymous with Hyderabad, Charminar is a beautiful mosque built by Mohammad Quli Qutab Shah in 1591. It reflects Cazia style of architecture with exquisite carvings. It was built to help the people who were affected by a plague epidemic.
Built by the Kaktiya kings in the 13th century, this fort stands tall on a granite hill. It boasts of around 87 bastions. And one of the interesting things about the fort is that if you clap your hand at the entry gate, the sound produced can be heard at the top of the hill.
It is a perfect amalgamation of different styles of architecture, built in 1750. It once served as the abode of the Nizam.
Dedicated to Lord Venkateshwar, Birla Mandir is a man-made architectural wonder. Located on the Kala Pahad (Black Hill) near the Hussain Lake, the temple offers mesmerizing views of the surroundings.
It is a majestic palace built in Italian marble in the form of a Scorpio in 1884. It is well known for its rare collection of Jade (an ornamental stone).
Built under the guidance of several rulers in the 17th century, Mecca Masjid is one of the biggest and the oldest mosques of India.

You can shop a variety of handicrafts from the colourful bazaars of Hyderabad. Visit the famous Laad Bazaar offering shopping items like pearls, lacquer bangles, gold embroidered fabric, perfume, semi-precious stones etc.

Hyderabad has both domestic and international airport which offers regular flights. The city is well connected by rail and road with the major cities of India.
